Villa Byron Suites

The photos here are of the old hotel, and a new one has been open for about two years. The rooms have been renovated and everything is new. It’s a really great place with amazing staff, so the comments here refer to the old hotel. I highly recommend it. Whenever I come to Miami, I stay here.

There’s plenty nearby in North Shore, including Publix, Denny’s, surf shops, cafes, restaurants, CVS, and Walgreens. The beach is about a seven-minute walk away, and there’s a coin laundromat around five minutes away since the hotel has no laundry service. You might see cats on the street. We had a great stay, and the price was reasonable. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms clean, and the kitchen was nice. There were smart TVs with Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, Prime Video, and regular channels. The AC worked, and the rooms had bright lights and chairs. The staff were very kind. When the microwave started giving off a really foul smell, they replaced it that same day. I do wish the shower had a door. It only had glass covering half the shower floor, so water got all over the bathroom. The walls are thin enough that I could hear people talking in nearby rooms, though it wasn’t a problem for us. Also, someone smoked in their room during our stay and set off the fire alarm. Fire rescue came, and as far as I know the person was fined $250. Remember not to smoke.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the place was clean, new, and adorable. The appliances, comforters, and sheets were all clean too. It’s an easy walk to the beach. This was the best place I’ve stayed in Florida, and I lived here for 12 years. It made my vacation. I highly recommend it.

We slept better here than anywhere else on vacation. It’s a basic hotel in a slightly run-down neighborhood, but it was very clean and everything worked properly. The area was quiet, and the ventilation was quiet and effective too. The stay exceeded our expectations.
