Red Roof Inn PLUS+ Miami Airport

The room wasn't properly cleaned between stays. The bed was fresh, but there were crumbs on the counters and floor, so housekeeping is why I took off one star. For a quick overnight and the price, it was good, as long as you arrive with reasonable expectations. It's dated and needs some repairs. Planes are very close and audible, but once inside the room they weren't really a bother.

The rooms were reasonably clean and comfortable, the staff friendly enough, and the location works well for an overnight near the airport. But the website was misleading about the beds. It listed two full-size beds and said the room sleeps four. We booked two rooms for six people, assuming the beds would fit two each. They're so small that sharing would make for a very uncomfortable night, so we had to book an extra room at the last minute and pay a ridiculous price. I wouldn't stay again.

I drove 30 minutes to get here and never even got a room, though they still charged me $140. I need that money back. The place feels so badly run it seems like they’ll just take your money. When I arrived, one person was handling the front desk and the line stretched all the way to the exit. I waited more than an hour, and nobody was getting a room. By then it was so late that even if I got one at 4 a.m., checkout was already at 11:00 that morning. I called the next day about a refund and was told the manager wasn’t there and to call again the day after. When I did, they said the manager still wasn’t there, but also that I wouldn’t get my money back. There’s supposedly a manager on site only once a week for two hours, and they’re off the other days, so there’s no one to talk to. Don’t waste your time here. Find somewhere that’s managed properly.

We got there early on 3/8 and the young woman who greeted us was friendly, polite, and really helpful. While our room was being prepared, we could use the pool. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean, and the pool was nice. There’s a restaurant on site serving pizza and burgers, plus gas stations within walking distance. The airport location is great. We had a good stay and would definitely recommend it.
