EAST Miami Residences

I hadn't known what to expect at the Brickell property since I usually stay with an upscale chain, and that chain was fully booked. I'm glad I tried this place and would recommend it to friends and stay again. The suite was spacious, thoughtfully laid out, and we upgraded to a one-bedroom residence in seconds. The location was great, housekeeping satisfactory, and the experience very good overall. Front desk staff, especially Ashley, were helpful. When I asked for extra hangers and towels, they arrived within minutes.

The hotel's vibe was pretty good, with a stylish lobby, elevators, and nightlife. The building itself, especially its balconies and structure, looked very nice. Staff were solid overall, especially the guys at the front who helped with our bags. Still, it was a fair experience, not what I'd expect from a top-tier luxury stay. It markets itself as a five-star property, but it felt more like three or four stars to me. There was a strange smell in the hallways and room, and the atmosphere didn't feel like true five-star luxury. Things also seemed somewhat outdated. I had to ask for my room to be cleaned each day after being out all day. I thought it would be sorted after the first day, but it wasn't. To be fair, the privacy light was on the first day, though it was already on when I checked in. The pool got little sun because a building in front blocked much of the light, so it wasn't as enjoyable during the day. On arrival, the greeting felt off. After traveling and feeling tired, I hoped for a warmer welcome, but was immediately asked to pay a $90 fee to enter the room an hour early. That didn't feel like a five-star arrival.

The staff were consistently warm, professional, and helpful, and the gym was one of the best hotel gyms I've seen, set up for actual training rather than just cardio. East Miami exceeded my expectations. The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable. Right in the heart of Brickell, the location is hard to beat, with everything within walking distance. The rooftop bar and restaurants had a great atmosphere, food, and service. I'm looking forward to coming back on my next Miami trip.

The rooftop Tea Room was unbelievable, with a cool Asian look, a dim lounge, an incredible menu, and even better music. Sugar also had an incredible city view from its lush garden-like rooftop. The lobby was a whole vibe, dimly lit and cool, with a coffee shop where you can get drinks. There are three restaurants, Quinto, Sugar, and Tea Room. We went to Quinto when it was closed, so never got in, but Sugar and the Tea Room were amazing. Great date-night spots. My wife and I stayed December 30th to January 2nd 2026 and had a great stay. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the front desk was efficient. Our room and city view were great, with a big bed and shower. There wasn't a ton of room for bags, but it worked. We had trouble connecting the TV to Chromecast, so an IT guy came the next morning at an agreed time and fixed it within five minutes. Great, friendly, efficient service.
