TRU by Hilton Miami Airport South Blue Lagoon, FL

Angel at reception made the stay much more enjoyable. He was warm, professional, and informative, and when we mentioned an issue with the TV, he quickly explained that he'd done what he could and that it was a Hilton-wide issue. His apologetic attitude helped us feel valued, even though the hotel itself was a bit mediocre. I had booked a room here for a friend who flew in to join me. The kitchenette was a nice feature, but it wasn't cleaned to my standards. There was a film on the microwave and other parts of the room weren't fully clean. The location was convenient, centrally placed and right by the highway for getting around.

Debbie at the front desk made sure everything went smoothly. She was welcoming, professional, positive, and attentive to the details. Paz, the bartender, was just as memorable, friendly and attentive, and knew how to make a great drink. Every interaction with them was a pleasure. They both represent hospitality so well, and their service is why I'll definitely return.

The rooms are dated, and some of the electrical outlets don't work. There's a fridge and coffee maker, but no microwave, which is a real downside. Parking is available for a fee. Still, it's a lovely hotel with a great view of the lagoon and airport from the upper floors or the restaurant and bar on the 10th floor. The breakfast has plenty of choices, and Manuel, the very friendly and enthusiastic bartender, makes the bar worth visiting.

The rooms were spacious and had what we needed, and the place felt clean, modern, and comfortable. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the location was convenient for the airport and cruise port. The staff were friendly too. I loved my stay and felt it was worth every penny. I'd gladly stay again and recommend it to anyone coming to Miami.
