I arrived on Tuesday the 13th, mainly because the location was close to work. The host was really cool and lived there with his girlfriend and beautiful baby. I had no problem with that, and it made the place feel comfortable. I thought I could stay a while, but when someone made a reservation, I had to check out. I understand it's a business. The owner said there was another property available, but the place at 1550nw 85st Miami florida 33147 was disgusting and completely unlivable. It smelled horrible, looked like a trap house, and seemed like it hadn't been cleaned in months. The bathroom was disgusting too. It was a nightmare, so I went back to where I'd been staying. The guest who made the original reservation apparently wanted to give the room back to me, but I was told I couldn't stay and they'd call the police because I was interfering with the owner's business. Stay at your own risk. There are no TVs, clean towels, wash towels, blankets, or bottled water for guests. You basically have to fend for yourself.

I walked in, saw brown used toilet paper in the wastebasket, and walked right back out.

We decided to return the key and go somewhere else because we both felt very uneasy. As we drove there, we saw spiked gates around buildings and bars on the windows. GPS brought us to a vacant lot, with this place next to it. It's a duplex-style apartment where several men live. I would have been the only woman with Pepaw, who is 84. We both carry some form of protection and still didn't feel safe. Pepaw went inside to check. He found one bathroom for everyone, two twin beds with no sheets or pillows, and nothing else. A man who didn't speak English very well went to get sheets and tossed the wrinkled, bunched-up ones on the beds, but there were still no pillows. When Pepaw asked where to find food, the man pointed up the road to a corner, but we found nothing there. We went to McDonald's using GPS and saw six to eight police officers there with their lights on. It seemed like a bad, dangerous neighborhood. Pepaw is ex-military and a retired fire captain, and I'm an ex-EMT. We're not defenseless people, but neither of us felt safe during this ordeal. The place was nonrefundable, and I wish there were a negative-star rating. Don't waste your time or money even looking at it. Stay as far away as possible.

I called and got no return call when I tried to book a room.
