Suburban Extended Stay Hotel Middlesboro

We booked a room at the last minute for one night and it was honestly pretty nice. The front desk staff were super awesome at check-in and very nice again when we checked out. We were on the third floor in a single queen room. It smelled fresh, like everything had just been bought and washed, except for one pillow that had a hint of cigarette smoke. The rest was great: full size fridge, working microwave, sink, mirror, shower, and toilet. I'd avoid the elevator since it seemed sketchy, but the stairs were fine. For a young couple on a budget looking for a last-minute room, this place will do nicely.

The staff were really nice and hospitable, and there's plenty of grass for dogs. It's clean, cheap, and the air conditioning works great. The state park and Main Street shops are within walking distance.

The rooms were nice and clean. It was great, and I'd stay there again.

We had a ground-level, non-smoking room on the suburban studio side of this Econo Lodge. It was clean and had a small full size fridge/freezer, a two burner stove, a microwave, and a sink. If you're staying a long time or cooking your own meals, bring everything you'll need for the kitchen. They don't provide a hair dryer either. My main complaints were the very low shower pressure and the tub holding water and draining slowly. The mattress was horrible, as bad as a fold out sleeper sofa mattress, and it smelled like someone had peed the bed and it hadn't been cleaned well enough. It also had a mattress protector that held body heat and made it uncomfortable. Everything else was clean and fresh, though. We stayed at the Daniel Boone motel in June 2023, and that was horrendous. This place felt luxurious compared with it.
