We were staying with a group in a nearby Airbnb when plumbing problems forced us to leave in the middle of the night. The Wyndham took our group right away, which made a stressful 3am situation much easier. Charlotte at the front desk was amazing, booking our rooms quickly and being so friendly and helpful. The rooms were very nice and the beds really comfortable. I’d stay again next time I’m in the area.

The views of the bay are nice, but the deer Island water treatment facility has them too, and probably better showers. The people running this place are perfectly nice, but the building has all the charm of a cinder block and none of the production value. It’s the cheapest-built hotel I’ve ever stayed in that was supposedly decent. The walls are paper thin, the flooring is plastic, and the showers are awful. Everything feels shoddily put together.

I performed here as guest entertainment for a wedding in mid November, and the hotel was lovely and clean. All the staff were excellent, friendly, welcoming, and professional. Heather was a gem to work with: organized, helpful, friendly, and a great communicator. If you get the chance to work with her, you’ll be well taken care of. I highly recommend her.

The restaurant on site was a highlight of my stay. The food was excellent, the service was great, the lobster bisque was outstanding, and the baked scrod was perfectly prepared. The Wyndham Newport Hotel also has modern, new, comfortable rooms and consistently pleasant, welcoming staff. It’s just a few miles from central Newport and an easy straight shot west to the Naval Base. Convenient for leisure or business, and I’d absolutely stay again.

We had a wonderful, spontaneous escape at the Wyndham Newport Hotel in scenic Middletown, with lovely water views and exceptional amenities. The rooms were spacious, modern, comfortable, and had free Wi-Fi and thoughtful amenities. We especially enjoyed the heated indoor salt water pool, and the on-site restaurant and bar served delicious food. It’s just three miles from downtown Newport, with a free shuttle that makes getting around easy. Major sights nearby include the Newport Mansions, Cliff Walk, and the International Tennis Hall of Fame. Highly recommend for a relaxing and convenient Newport getaway.
