Howard Johnson Middletown

The staff were helpful, friendly, and knew their stuff. This was our second stay, and they were accommodating with our large 5th wheel again. The room was super clean and comfortable, and breakfast was great. Impeccable hotel.

All the staff were great, especially Efrain on the overnight shift, who was super helpful. I liked the gym and hot tub, and the room was really clean. I stayed during a storm because it was close to work, and everything went well. Would definitely recommend.

The bed gave me a good night's sleep, and I really enjoyed the shower's hot water and strong stream. They offer a full self-serve breakfast buffet each morning, with different items to choose from. The hotel was clean, the service staff even better, and check-in and checkout were a breeze. I'll stay again.

The night desk clerk was nice, and the location was handy for getting to Starbucks. That was about all I liked. The hall was noisy all night with doors slamming, and I saw two bags of garbage left there as soon as I stepped out of the elevator. In the morning, the woman who checked me out was less pleasant and charged me a pet fee even though my dog is a service animal, with a leash clearly marked in neon green “service dog.” I've traveled all over the world and never stayed at a La Quinta. Now I'll avoid the chain. This is definitely only a 2 star hotel, and I'd never stay here again.
