The hotel was so accommodating for our first trip with a 1 year old. As soon as we checked in, they brought a very clean pack-and-play to our room. Breakfast was creative and consistent, unlike the lackluster options at many hotels these days. It was also easy to get to Newport and the beaches. I was unsure about staying in Middletown since downtown Newport is so expensive, but I was really impressed.
10/10
Rooms were clean and well kept, and it's a lot less expensive than the Marriott. Downtown Newport is a short ride away, less than 2 miles.
8/10
The staff were welcoming, and breakfast was good. Rooms were clean, though the bathroom showers need an update and the hallways could use a vacuum. I'd stay here again.
6/10
The place is on Newport's outskirts, with friendly staff and spacious, well-kept rooms. My main disappointment was that they don't offer daily housekeeping. At $400+ a night, which seems to be the summer rate, that feels unacceptable. I'd expect that sort of cost-cutting at a cheaper roadside motel, not somewhere charging luxury-level prices. It took away from what was otherwise a positive stay.
10/10
We appreciated the free parking and breakfast, and the rooms were large enough for our family of four. The price made this a great value in this town. You do need a car to get here, and getting into the lot is a bit complicated. We stayed this summer and really liked the hotel. Great stay, and we'd definitely consider it again next time we're in Newport.
