Comfort Inn & Suites Middletown - Franklin

The room smelled disgusting, there was hair all over the shampoo bottle, and the towels I was given were dirty. I showed the front desk my complaints and asked to switch rooms, but they still refused. The man gave me an attitude, and his look could have killed me. I had no option left except to call corporate. If zero stars were possible, that’s what I’d give.

We slept better during those two nights than we have in ages, even compared with our own bed at home. The king room was clean and really nice, and the bed was outstanding. I wish we’d checked the mattress brand and model so we could look for one ourselves. Breakfast had a good selection, and the hotel stayed quiet overnight. It’s a very nice Choice hotel, easy to reach from the interstate, and we’d definitely stay again.

The location is great, but our stay after the Miami Redhawk game last Saturday was rough. We had rooms 116 and 118, and both smelled horrible. The bathtub had a stained ring that looked like water had been left standing in it. I asked the front desk woman to come smell the room, and she said, “yeah we just sprayed the rooms.” I wondered what with, pesticide? They never offered to move us, and I doubt another room would have been any better anyway.

After a week without a good night’s sleep, we finally got one here. My wife had been injured on our vacation, so we chose this place without seeing it first because an accessible room was available. We arrived just before a huge storm, and getting the closest room possible was a real blessing. It was spotless and well equipped, with the walk-in shower she needed. The morning front desk staff were great, too. We were grateful to leave refreshed and ready for the road the next morning.
