OYO Midland Intl Air Space Port

A friendly front desk, comfortable beds, a good shower, and clean floors, mirrors, and tables. For such an affordable motel right beside I-20, it's hard to turn down. I'd like to stay here often.

The doors don't lock, despite giving you a key card. I called reception and was told I had to go over there. After I explained it was my room door that wouldn't lock, they said they'd send someone over. Don't bother. The room was dirty and smelly, and the bedding had cigarette burns. Bring your own towel because theirs are threadbare. The bathroom had been remodeled, though the grout was falling out, and at least the shower was hot.

The one thing I can say for sure is that I won't stay there again. Staff acted like checking us in was a nuisance, and customer service was basically nonexistent. The room looked very dated, the beds were lumpy, and I wasn't sure it was clean, but I was too tired to argue. In the morning there were no washcloths, the soap was as cheap as it gets, and the towels were a joke. Breakfast was just thawed Eggo waffles folded into a cheap toaster that took forever. I tried cereal while I waited, but the milk was warm and staff didn't care, saying it was out to be used. The coffee tasted worse than old truck stop mud.

At least the bed was comfortable. The floors were very uneven, there was a big gap under the door, and nobody dusted once during my stay. The place was way overpriced for what you get. Pillowcases, sheets, and the top blanket all had cigarette burns and holes, even after they changed the sheets.
