They wouldn't rent a room to me and my two children, even though I had my money ready. We were in an emergency during freezing weather, and they said they don't serve people from Lewistown. That felt like blatant discrimination. Why should it matter if we're paying customers? Not everyone gets a hotel for vacation; sometimes you just need somewhere clean to rest and shower. They refused a family a basic service for no reason, and after that I wouldn't recommend this place.

The service was top notch, which is refreshing and hard to find at most budget motels these days. Great for the price, and Mifflintown has what you need to get ready for a PSU tailgate.

The room door wouldn't lock all the way, and the rooms are really outdated. I also kept having to get my key card activated again.

I remembered having a good stay here before, though I didn't realize I'd stayed here when I asked my wife about booking after reading the reviews. The place is clean, and one of the housekeepers I met was a very nice young woman. It's not run down and doesn't need a remodel. My curtain wouldn't close all the way, but that was an easy fix. Breakfast worked out fine at IHOP with my coupon, which I used for dinner instead.

A very clean place to stay, roughly 50 minutes from Beaver Stadium. I'd recommend it.
