Hampton Inn Milledgeville

We had to change our dates after booking, but nobody mentioned a big rate increase or sent an email confirming the new price. When we arrived to check in, I saw the higher cost and asked the front desk gentleman about it. He said it was the busiest weekend of the year, so the rate had gone up. I said it sounded like price gouging, and he replied, “well, somebody has to do it“. Do yourself a favor and book an Airbnb instead of the Milledgeville Hampton Inn.

Check-in was seamless thanks to the professional, friendly front desk staff. The room and its bed coverings both smelled clean, and this was one of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed in for a long time. I recommend it if you’re in the area.

Benny at the front desk was so kind, and our room was very clean. The bathrooms were spotless, the AC worked well, and breakfast was great. We had a great stay.

The outside pool area is nice, the location works well, and breakfast food service was excellent. Customer service was excellent when we arrived, but afterward some more training or a better raise might help. Even if someone doesn’t want to be there or is unhappy with a customer, I don’t think it should show in their attitude. For an event class that asks for a scan and print, staff could just explain that they can’t do it because the paper is for workplace use only. I wouldn’t have minded that, or paying a fee like at the library to print a scan. For members, this hotel has some nice benefits, too. As someone who works in customer service, I know people have a lot to deal with. I try to make light conversation even when I’m tired and have had a day. I treated you all with respect and wish you the best. 🥰
