Country Inn By Carlson Millville

The staff at reception were courteous and helpful, and breakfast was a decent English-style spread. I chose this place as a Club Carlson member even though our trip was to Philadelphia, and its location between Philly and Atlantic City worked well. The property was very well maintained. The building is a little old, so sound carries, and we could hear people walking outside our door. It didn’t bother us much. The room was clean, and I’d stay here again if I’m in the area.

The staff were so nice and accommodating, and we had a really enjoyable stay. Check-in took a while, and getting a second blanket did too, so it felt like they might have been a bit short-staffed. I’d definitely come back next time we’re in town.

I was here for work during the week for a month, and it was disgusting. The front desk employees were great, but I honestly can’t say anything good about the hotel itself. Papers sat on the floor for the whole month, and there was hair on the ceilings just as long. Even after I complained, there were little curly hairs in the sheets. The coffee pot had a filter covered in mold. So gross. I know the hairs weren’t mine because I went home on weekends. Glad it’s closed. I’m at Fairfield now, and it’s clean and I’m happy.

We had a good stay, and the Wi-Fi was fast and worked flawlessly on both my Debian netbook and my wife’s Windows laptop. The pool was nice and breakfast was good, with solid discounts for stays longer than 7-8 nights. Just be aware it’s a two-floor hotel with no elevator. That would’ve been fine if I were on my own, but with my wife and baby, carrying everything upstairs was a hassle.
