Comfort Suites Milwaukee West

I left right after finding a dirty syringe tucked under the mattress during my room check, and I reported it to the front desk. The man there was kind and said he'd take care of it, but I wasn't refunded. Expedia also refused because they couldn't reach the hotel, so I'm out $112. As a woman traveling alone, I didn't feel this was safe. I absolutely wouldn't recommend staying here.

The place was quiet and relaxing, and the location made it easy to get to what I needed. My room was comfortable, clean, and looked just like the photos. Staff were helpful and friendly throughout, from arrival to checkout. I'd happily return and recommend it for an easy, stress-free stay.

I wouldn't choose this hotel again. I stayed because it was near work, but there were problems from the start: staff had trouble finding my booking, and the TV in my first room wouldn't work with my gaming station because its HDMI didn't work. They moved me to a second room, which was a little nicer. The next morning, a guest yelled and cursed at me after I took a paper plate from one of her big stacks, thinking she was taking a lot of them. Her boyfriend got right in my face, and the hotel staff just watched. On my last night, someone on the third floor was smoking cigarettes. A staff member first said it was outside, but I told him I know what smoke on a floor smells like. The area also seemed run down and a little ghetto to me. I'd find another hotel.

Parking was easy, and the room felt quiet, safe, and spacious. The front desk staff welcomed me warmly. I called from the room for help with the facilities, and someone came quickly and fixed the issue efficiently. It made for a comfortable, reassuring business trip.
