County Clare Irish Hotel & Pub

A cozy, relaxing place for a getaway or staycation, with a warm, homey feel. Breakfast was very good, and the pub's corned beef and Irish soda bread with whisky butter were so good that we'll go back just to eat that. I had a relaxing time, and you should consider staying here.

We tried County Claire on a coworker's recommendation, without much expectation, and ended up loving the Irish theme and the look of the place. It was for my wife's birthday, a day to relax while Grandma and big sister watched our 7 month old. The rooms were cozy and had a nice hot tub. The pub and restaurant were amazing. I had corn beef and cabbage, then Irish soda bread with whiskey butter for dessert. Both were great, but I'd especially recommend the soda bread. Just be aware, our room had no fridge. We look forward to making County Claire our staycation spot.

Update: this last visit wasn't as good as before. The bartender was easily the biggest jerk I've met in Wisconsin, where people are usually pleasant. Our TV didn't work, and with no one at the desk at night, we couldn't get it fixed. Breakfast was pretty sparse. The omelette station was wonderful, but that was about all there was. It wasn't the five-star stay we'd had before. I hope this was a one-off and doesn't become a pattern. Previously, we'd had a wonderful stay. Service was outstanding, and there's a great Irish pub on the first floor. It's only 5 minutes from the Fiserv and Panthers Arena. Parking is very limited, but I thought the place was worth it.

The staff were helpful, the inn was peaceful, and our room was well kept. Breakfast was excellent, and the bar was a nice place to unwind after traveling. It made for a perfect, cozy weekend away. My wife says it was one of her favorite stays in the area, and we'll recommend it to family visiting town.
