Hyatt Place Milwaukee Airport

Having a washer and dryer available was the one real plus, but it didn't make up for the lack of comfort and quality. I spent a month there, and it really wasn't suitable for a stay that long. The rooms were clean, but very dark and increasingly cramped. Breakfast was so poor that I stopped going after a few days, and the staff weren't very helpful or welcoming. I'd look elsewhere for anything longer than a couple of nights.

I slept in the room and used the shower twice, leaving everything as I found it, but there was an extra $38.96 charge six hours after the room payment. I hadn't ordered anything. When I contacted Hyatt, they told me to call the hotel. The person there didn't understand and asked me to call back later, so now I have to spend time waiting on the phone to find out why they charged me. It'll probably be some BS. The bed was uncomfortable, and I couldn't use the TV because I don't watch local channels and there was no working port for my fire stick. On the first evening there was banging, maybe from a remodel, I'm not sure. Hyatt needs to do better. I'm a member, but I won't stay with them again.

The hotel wasn't clean, and the front desk wasn't friendly. We had appetizers and beer the first night, and the bill came to $104. We crossed out the tip on the card receipt and left $20 in cash. The next day, the card showed a $119 charge. At the service desk, we were told the hotel had added its own gratuity, even though we'd signed the $104 receipt and paid a cash tip. They asked us for a receipt, but we were never given one. We didn't request room service for the first two days and expected it on the third, but it never came.

A great spot for a quick visit to the Milwaukee area, and it would work well for families too. The rooms are a bit older, but they were nice and quiet. Staff were friendly and very helpful, and the complimentary breakfast tasted good.
