TownePlace Suites by Marriott Minooka

I was here for a few days on a company trip, and the staff made us feel welcome and were accommodating the whole time. The rooms were among the nicest I’ve stayed in, clean, and equipped with a kitchenette with what you need to cook. There are restaurants within walking distance and a dollar general across the street for other needs. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

I left an expensive brick charger in my room and only realized it was missing two days later, once I was back home in PA. I figured there was no chance the hotel still had it, so I called expecting someone might have taken it. Sam had found it and turned it in to lost and found with the room number. Carrie, who spoke with me on the phone, explained that I could fill out an online USPS prepaid shipping label and they’d mail it the next day. I’m so grateful to both of them. I only stayed one night, but the people at this TownePlace Suites by Marriott Minooka were wonderful.

The hotel looked new or recently renovated, and the spacious room, kitchen area, and pullout bed were nice and mostly clean. We brought two dogs. The room rate was $173, plus a $50 nonrefundable dog deposit, which felt far too high for the area. Our dogs behaved perfectly while left alone for a few hours, with no damage or accidents. I wish the deposit were refundable. It’s frustrating to pay for other people’s untrained dogs, and the stay ended up costing more than boarding ours.

I’ve never stayed at a better hotel. The service was amazing, and it was very military friendly. It also worked well for people with pets, and breakfast was great. My sincere thanks to the staff for making the experience so wonderful.
