Red Roof Inn New Orleans Airport

The room was a little damp when I arrived, but turning the heat on briefly took care of it. Water pressure in the shower was decent, and the bed was comfortable. Staff were pleasant, breakfast was decent and complimentary, and they were helpful when I needed taxi advice. Would recommend!

We left after only a few hours and found somewhere else because I was super sick. The room had bugs, everything felt damp, and the sheets didn't look washed. We were afraid to touch them. The hotel is rundown and dirty, and the area felt unsafe. It looked like a place people go after getting out of jail. I don't recommend it. We found a much nicer hotel for almost the same price.

The breakfast was great, with a nice selection for guests to enjoy for free. But I was charged twice for the same room, and when I finally got to my room there was urine on the toilet. Housekeeping came promptly to clean it, but I shouldn't have had to hold it while waiting for a clean bathroom.

For a night's stay, this worked out fine for me. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and all the staff were very friendly. I'm not very picky, and I judge a place by what I paid versus what I expected. I wasn't expecting luxury for that price. The complimentary airport shuttle was nice, though it took about 45 minutes to pick me up even though the hotel was eight minutes away. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that they were busy, so I didn't take off a star for it. The one thing that did bother me was how dirty the halls on my floor were. Walking in made me worry about the room, though the room itself was clean. The halls didn't just look worn, they looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in a very, very long time.
