The Bunkhouse - Hostel

I met some great people and loved the Minturn Mile. The hostel was extremely clean, with comfortable beds, clean linens, very clean bathrooms, and a well equipped kitchen. The fan above the bed was a nice extra. Nancy, Fischer and Diamond are excellent hosts. I had a car, so getting to Beaver Creek and buying groceries was easy, and there’s also a bus stop across the street for Vail. Guests were polite and kept to quiet hours. Highly recommended, and don’t forget to take off your shoes!!!

I feel very safe staying here as a solo female, and I look forward to coming back every time I visit Colorado. Nancy and Fischer are attentive to their guests, and the staff are welcoming and great. The bus system is convenient for getting to vail or beaver creek.

I spent 9 days at the bunkhouse this past week, and the setup was just about perfect. It’s super clean, the beds are comfy, and those HEATED FLOORS are great. Nights were dead silent, and the whole place felt quiet and relaxing day and night. There are multiple fridges for groceries, with little bins for your name, and a 10 minute free bus ride straight into Vail village. Skip VRBO and stay there. Shred pow, Apres Ski, then take the free bus back. End of story. Happy shredding!!!

Music, art, and conversation all seem to find their place at The Bunkhouse, and guests are invited to join in instead of just treating it as somewhere to sleep. It brings people from around the world together to swap stories and experiences. The atmosphere feels creative and social, with the building and location only part of what gives it character. It’s not sleek or impersonal, which is exactly the appeal. If that suits you, it’s what a hostel should be.
