The highway is close by, and the truck stop next door meant there was plenty of space to park our semi. Our room was clean, the staff were helpful, and the Taco Bell nearby stayed open late, which came in handy when we arrived late. We stayed one night.
I planned to stay three days, but left early the next morning after barely sleeping at all. The smoke in the hallways was so strong it made me cough and gag all night. I kept the window open for fresh air, but still couldn't sleep. It wasn't like that when I checked in, or I would have left sooner. People were smoking pot, and smoking seemed to be allowed anywhere. I filed a complaint with the state and plan to make a formal one with the health department, too. There was also a guest wandering around the hotel wearing a towel around his waist and a shirt, but nothing else. The person who was supposed to be running the front desk was rude and nasty, though she was very sweet to the men checking in. She may have been part of the party at the hotel.
The price was fair even with all the Grizzly fans taking over town. The room itself was fine: friendly staff, a comfortable bed, a decent shower, and plenty of cable channels with a guide that worked. Nearby, there's a bar, liquor store, and casino, plus a great pizza place in a little food trailer and a Taco Bell farther along. But if there's no shuttle, I don't think this should be called an airport location.
The rooms are dated, though clean and equipped with what we needed. Breakfast included muffins, instant oatmeal, cereal bars, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, and toast, along with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. The staff were friendly and very helpful, even suggesting places to eat. It's an older truck stop hotel, but it was economical and close to our activity. There's also a cute lobby gift shop with Montana food and gift items.
Room 230 was a nightmare. We checked in after 9 pm and were out by around 2:15 am. We were up since 4:30 that morning, then drove five hours home after leaving. We don't like writing bad reviews, but sometimes we have to. We love writing good ones, too. The bed had a big crater in the middle, and we kept rolling into it. It was hard and very uncomfortable. The shower tub was stained, the carpet was nasty, and the room and hall smelled smoky and musty, a problem for me since I have asthma and allergies. The hallway carpet was dirty and needed restretching. Furniture was right in front of the AC and heater, and the heater barely worked, so the room was cold. The lamp outlet wouldn't charge our phones. The back doors weren't locked at 10 pm as the sign said they would be, so I didn't feel safe. A semi parked there ran its refrigerated trailer, kicking on and off every 20 minutes and making a lot of noise. We arrived at 7:50 pm on 10/7/2025, towing a trailer, and parked in back. I went inside to check us in while my husband finished with the trailer. A man we'd spoken to outside was already waiting, and another man had been waiting an unknown amount of time. The second man kindly let us check in first so we could get dinner. A sign said someone would be right back, but we waited ten minutes for the woman to come in. She'd been out doing something and seemed in a bad mood, and was kind of rude. After dinner, we found the room in that condition. At 2 am on 10/8/2025 I started calling Days Inn to ask what they could do. They had nothing to offer. We asked for another room, but they had none. I asked for a refund, but was told no one could help and the person wouldn't be back until next Monday. When I asked who owned the place, the man gave a name and pointed at the wall, where I couldn't find it. He repeated the name and said they owned everything on that side of the block except Taco Bell. There was some nasty stuff wiped across the check-in counter that morning. We checked out at 2:30. They told us to call after 7 to see if the person on shift could give a refund, so I called.
