Hyatt Place Moab

We had a magical stay. The room was good and, luckily, our view was bright and clear. Breakfast was fine, and we made lots of use of the hot tub. The pool was clean, a good size, and had a nice view too. Miss Sue and Angelica helped everything go smoothly. We'll definitely be back!

There were lots of useful features: a 24hr gym, decent pool hours, a breakfast buffet that was kept stocked, well maintained indoor and outdoor areas, and free parking. The national and state parks were just a short drive away. I liked being a little outside town, while still close enough to drive in for a quick bite, groceries, or takeout. I'd definitely stay here again next time.

Everything else was as expected, but the noise from Room 101 made the rest irrelevant. If you get that room, leave. You won't sleep past 5:30AM: it's beside the lobby bathroom, and every flush, stall door, paper towel dispenser, and group talking echoes into the room. Whoever designed this hotel didn't think through how the layout would affect guests. There are plenty of places to put something beside a lobby bathroom; a guest room should be the last choice. Hyatt should take note and avoid using this floor plan in new hotels.

We're on an eight day Might 5 vacation, and at nearly $500 a night this has been by far the most expensive hotel of our trip. It's a nice hotel, but not much better than the cheaper places we've stayed along the way. We paid extra for a view and got utility poles along with highway noise that woke us during the night. I'd recommend booking an inside room to save money and have a quieter night, or staying somewhere else.
