Super 8 by Wyndham Mobile/Tillmans Corner

It was decent until the neighbors started blasting music and singing badly at 4am. I also had to turn the heat up to 81° to get comfortable, which was frustrating.

I gave one star because the front desk girl was nice. These ratings are far too generous. The place smelled moldy, and it looked like someone had painted over mold. The shower ceiling had an awful repair job that looked like a toddler did it. There were pubes and hairs everywhere, boogers and grime on the walls, and stains under the sheets. The room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a year. There’s more, but it’s just gross. This is what you get with a lazy owner and management. Keep driving.

I felt safe in the area, and there were plenty of food options nearby. The staff were friendly, and the room was clean, though the bathrooms could use a little attention. It’s about 35-40 minutes from the beach. Good value for the price.

The bed was so firm that I struggled to sleep well, which is why I’m taking off a star. The check-in was quick, friendly, and easy, and the location was quiet with very little highway noise. The room had laminate floors and an exterior corridor. Getting here from I-10 westbound can be tricky: take the exit before the closest one, or you’ll have to backtrack. Still, I had a good night overall.
