The hotel entered my room even though I had a Do Not Disturb sign clearly posted. When I complained, the front desk supervisor and agent both said the property could enter any room at any time, even with the sign up. I found that alarming, since it shows no understanding of guest privacy or safety. The Regional Manager offered 5,000 points, about $20, as a gesture, and seemed surprised when I said that wasn't acceptable. The token offer and blank stares made clear how little they grasped the seriousness of entering a guest's room without permission. This puts guests and their belongings at risk. If privacy and safety matter to you, don't stay at the Residence Inn Modesto. They don't take those responsibilities seriously.

The breakfast was okay, and I liked that it was always fresh and hot. The coffee was very good too. My family and I flew in from Texas for a week and had a room with a kitchenette. It was clean, affordable, and all the staff were friendly, so we never had to worry about anything. We also spent some time at the gym, which was a great feature. We'd definitely come back!

The gym is small and basic, and breakfast was decent though there weren't many choices. Our room was comfortable and clean, and everything else was good. We stayed on our way to Sacramento and enjoyed it.

On my second day, I broke my ankle, and the staff went above and beyond by bringing me a big bag of ice to help reduce the swelling. They served a nice breakfast in the morning, too. It was my first stay here, and my room was clean and comfortable. The only downside was how bright the parking lot lights were in my room, which made it hard to sleep.

Breakfast was a highlight, and Maria and Debbie were both lovely to talk with. They gave us great service and did an awesome job hosting. My boyfriend and I were staying here for the first time, and we were both blown away by the beautiful rooms. Please recognize these two great women.
