The floor was dirty enough that I threw away my socks, and there were water bugs in the bathroom. Shower pressure was low, too. The TV and phones didn't work, and they wouldn't give me the Wi-Fi code. When I asked at the desk about the TV, she told me to come back in the morning, but I'd be gone by then. What was the point? Worst stay ever 😒😩

The manager was very mean. I'm Black, and when I called in my usual voice to ask about room prices, I got yelled at. I called again using my white voice, and she treated me very politely and said a room was available. Black people, open your minds and eyes.

After three days without power at home during the winter storm, I needed somewhere warm. I'd spent two nights sleeping in my car to keep warm, so when I heard rooms were available, I was desperate. It was cash only, first come first served, and only four rooms remained. I paid $80. The stairs to the room were covered in ice. Inside, it felt unclean and I immediately got itchy. The bathroom sink pipe leaked, there was no hot water or Wi-Fi, and the TV didn't work. I went through a whole can of Lysol trying to feel comfortable. Given the situation, $80 felt like too much, but I needed a warm place to sleep. I wouldn't stay again. Two out of five seems fair.

I've been here a week, and housekeeping has come in just once. They took a trash bag and didn't replace it. There were dead roaches all over when I arrived, and tonight I came back to live ones. No towels, soap, or shampoo, either. People are always outside yelling through the night.
