We stayed at Hotel Sterling for the OSU vs Xichigan game. The room had a little living area and a kitchenette, which made it feel almost like a mini condo. It’s a cool place, and I’d stay again. Why pay more at a big national chain when you can have a nicer experience and support a local business?

A great option for short or long stays in downtown Monroe. The studio rooms are large and comfortable, with a microwave, convection oven, air fryer, stovetop, and full fridge. Service was prompt, and parking was easy to access.

Hotel Sterling was comfortable and clean, right in the heart of downtown and only a block from the river. The bed was super comfy, too. It’s an old building, which made the stay feel unique.

There’s no elevator, so keep that in mind if you need one. We loved the stay, though. The room was quiet, spacious, immaculate, and comfortable, and the bedding made me feel like I was back in Europe. Customer service was seamless. I loved this place!

We travel for work 100 percent of the time, so I’ve stayed in all kinds of places. Hotel Sterling’s hospitality was on point from our first phone call through the whole stay, and they kept exceeding what we expected. I hesitated to call because it’s downtown and I figured it would be out of my price range. The rate was like an average hotel, but the amenities felt luxurious. The space feels like an upscale condo, there’s free laundry and parking, and they were very accommodating. You can’t beat this place anywhere. We’ll be sad to leave. Make your visit to Monroe a perfect one and stay at Hotel Sterling.
