Monroe Motel

Stayed here twice, and the service has been great both times. It’s a cute little motel with lots of charm, and a good affordable option in Monroe.

Roni clearly takes pride in keeping the room super clean and tidy. I was lucky to meet her on my way out and apologize for leaving the towels so dirty. She was lovely to chat with. I’d stumbled across this little hidden treasure while in town for a race. The lady in the office was kind and accommodating when I explained I’d be dirty afterward, needed a shower, and wouldn’t make checkout time. She told me not to worry. I also lost my key, and she let me use another one. Thankfully, I found the first key too. The room was in excellent condition, and the staff give the place that home away from home feel.

The smell of dirty fish tank water from the rotting carpets gave me the idea for the first chapter of my horror novel. I barely slept and checked out with a headache.

The room was very clean and nicely decorated, and the service was excellent. I especially liked the river behind the motel. It’s a place worth a look. Don’t judge by the outside, and you can have a wonderful stay. I’ll be back.
