Sun N Sound

We had a nice stay over Memorial Day weekend with family, spending three nights there. No early check-in was available. Room 216 was clean but felt tight once the sofa bed was opened. On the first night, upstairs guests were noisy until 1 am, understandable on a holiday weekend. The next day people were fishing from the hotel deck, which felt out of place. More considerate guests, or some staff supervision, would have made the stay better.

Awful. I spent the night tossing around on an uncomfortable mattress, and the duvet had no cover. The fridge was so noisy I had to unplug it. Plastic shades instead of curtains did little to block light, and the skylight had no shade. A very bright outdoor light came through the glass door all night. Expect the sun to wake you whether you want it to or not. Overpriced and uncomfortable, and I lost a night’s sleep. I can’t overstate how disappointed and angry I am.

We were close to several restaurants, and only on our last day did we discover a nearby beach with a small parking lot that didn’t require a permit. Our corner one-bedroom faced the ocean, so we could see the water from every window. There were also seating spots all around facing the water, where some people were finishing up.

The renovated unit felt fresh and modern, and our hosts were wonderfully accommodating. This was our second stay at Sun N' Sound, and having a direct ocean view this time made a big difference. We loved watching the sunsets from the balcony. The oceanfront setting felt peaceful, with the sound of the waves, while a short drive got us into town for the amenities and attractions we wanted. It was a great mix of quiet and convenience.
