Bluebird Bay Resort

The heated pool was a welcome touch in the cooler weather, and we didn’t need to leave because Bluebird had more than we expected: a pedal boat, paddle boards, pool toys for kids, games, fishing poles, fire pits, and a giant lily pad for the lake. Staff were attentive and made sure we had what we needed. We stayed in the updated 2 bedroom Kingfisher cottage with our family of 9. It was cozy and comfortable, and the large back patio deck fit visitors we had over one evening. The bay view was peaceful, without the noise and busyness of the lake. Bluebird Bay is a lovely spot for a relaxing getaway on the water. We’re glad we booked and will be back next season.

The owners are what make the place charming. Lindsey was so kind and helpful, and her pride in the resort and community really shows. We’ll definitely return. Our family of four had a great weekend in a 2 bedroom suite. It was finished as part of the renovations, and felt clean, cozy, and comfortable. The suites aren’t large, but the space was used thoughtfully, with storage drawers under the bed, and we had plenty of room. The pool was clean and well kept, docks were available for our rented boat, and there were lots of outdoor places to sit.

We felt right at home. The hosts were wonderful, taking time to welcome us and show us around the resort. Our last-minute trip gave us the family time we needed and everything we’d hoped for, plus more. The rooms were nicely decorated and had what we needed, while the outdoor areas offered several water views and plenty of seating. We’ll be back!

Annie’s kindness made a difficult visit feel much easier. We were in town for two nights to see a sick family member, and on the second day she left flowers at our door with a sympathy card. When we arrived, she gave us a full tour and offered to bring anything extra we might need. The two bedroom cottage was clean, comfortable, adorably decorated, and well stocked. Annie and the lovely cottage made the whole stay exceptional.
