The room smelled of mold, urine, and smoke. There was a dried puddle of blood on the mattress, cigarette burns throughout the room and on all the linen, and the door latch was missing. People who seemed like crackheads were wandering around everywhere. The stairs to the second floor felt soft, as if they were about to collapse. We paid $111 for a single bed room and didn't expect much, but did expect somewhere clean and safe. The room wasn't fit to stay in. I hesitated to post because mistakes happen, but the other reviews make it seem the owner knows these issues keep coming up and does nothing. We also told the manager. Don't give places like this your money.

The rooms are laid out thoughtfully, the staff were helpful and friendly, and breakfast was included. It was simple but had enough choices. Still, the building needs a major refurbishment. Carpets in the rooms, halls, and landing were heavily stained, and the walls and shower needed serious cleaning. The bathtub was very slippery. For this standard of hotel, the price was definitely too high.

The cleanliness was at a minimum, with roaches, bedbugs, and stains on the carpets and beds. Employees and management were rude and disrespectful to guests. When I complained, management didn't want to hear about it. I tried to make a complaint about an employee, but the manager said he didn't want to hear it and told us to speak to the employee the next day. When I asked when they'd be in, he said his employees had no set arrival time. There's no structured work environment.

I came with my mom and siblings after hearing some bad stories, so I was nervous at first. The manager and his wife greeted me warmly, and the place accepts pets. I brought my puppy, and there's lots of outdoor space to walk dogs. They celebrate Christmas and Easter too. Housekeeping cleans my room daily and treats me and my things with respect. When I get home from school, it's clean and I can relax without stress. Stores are within walking distance.
