The bed was the one drawback. It was uncomfortable and made noise whenever either of us moved. Otherwise, our stay at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Morehead City was very pleasant. Staff were wonderful, especially Mike, who was incredibly courteous and helpful throughout our visit. The rooms were clean and comfortable overall. We appreciated the complimentary coffee and water, and enjoyed the hot breakfast, especially the tasty omelets and warm cinnamon rolls. We were traveling with our fur baby, so the pet-friendly policy was a big plus. Overall, a good stay thanks to the staff and amenities.

A great stay in a good spot for fishing. Check-in was easy, the rooms were clean, and the shower water got decently hot. They also had complimentary regular and decaf coffee, plus hot water for tea. 4.4 stars overall.

We were there on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. Staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and pleasant, and let us check in early so we could use the pool. The pool area was clean, but seating was limited: two lounge chairs, two tables with four chairs each, and no umbrellas. The hotel had nice amenities and was well stocked. Complimentary bottled water was appreciated. Breakfast was the usual continental spread of cereal, French toast, sausage, eggs, and yogurt, but the juice machine was out during our stay. Our room wasn't clean enough. The body wash was empty, brown stuff was all over the hair products, dried toothpaste and spit were left on the sink, and there was a thick layer of soap scum in the shower. There were no spare toilet paper rolls, just two half rolls on the holders when we arrived. We like staying at Holiday Inn Express locations, but I'm not sure we'll return to this one.

I was here for a work conference and found the place fabulous. It was super clean and spacious, with a great breakfast and an awesome location. The staff were friendly and helpful. I'll stay here again and would highly recommend it.

Our impromptu beach trip was saved by this hotel. We brought our dog and were having a hard time finding anything available, so we got lucky here. The room was clean and comfortable, the pool was enjoyable, and having continental breakfast was a plus. It's close enough to everything, too. All the staff were beyond friendly, and the customer service was impeccable.
