Red Roof Inn PLUS+ San Antonio Downtown - Riverwalk

Jesus made our visit go really well. He knows his job, explained everything clearly, and took great care of us. I don't think things could have turned out better. I hope Redroof plus keeps him happy so he'll be there for our next Riverwalk visit and plenty more after that. Thanks again, Jesus!

The hotel wasn't clean, one of the lights was broken, and I didn't feel comfortable or safe there. I stayed one night after booking for two, then canceled the second night, but I still haven't gotten that night's money back. Amy, the manager, had promised a check for the refund, and said I'd also get my parking fee back, but nothing came. I followed up and still received nothing. This was October 26. It's very unprofessional and poor customer service. If they can't keep their word over a parking refund, the whole stay feels unreliable. I do NOT recommend the Red Roof in San Antonio, and I won't return. I want my parking money refunded too.

We had a good one-night stay. The staff were friendly, and the cleaning crew seemed to enjoy their work, smiling and greeting us as we walked to the room. The hotel has had some renovations, but its age still shows in places. I didn't mind that, and could see they were doing what they could to keep it presentable. Nothing was grimy or grungy, just a little dated. It's a great location for Alamodome events, a little over half a mile away, and close to downtown attractions. For the nightly rate, probably one of the best deals around, among the lowest I've seen. Our stay was interrupted at bedtime by a fire alarm that cleared the building, though they found no fire.

Sandra at the front desk was wonderful. She answered all my questions and concerns, and the service was amazing. The room was okay, and the location is really convenient.
