Extended Stay America Suites San Jose Morgan Hill

We were here for the Super Bowl, and the woman at the front desk was so kind. She left a bag of drinks and snacks in our room. Her customer service was superb. I wish I’d gotten her name.

At the Extended Stay in Morgan Hill, California, the whole staff, including maintenance, made me and my elderly mother feel welcome during our two separate extended stays. They were prompt with every detail and went above and beyond, making the place feel like home. Miriam and Kimberly especially went the extra mile to help us whatever the situation, and made us feel like family. I really appreciate them all and the lovely time we spent there.

We booked the Morgan Hill Extended Stay through Booking.com, expecting a relaxing weekend, but felt misled by the listing and the service. When we arrived, there was no accessible bathroom available. I urgently needed to use one and was told we couldn’t, though shortly afterward another guest was allowed to use the office bathroom. That was confusing and upsetting. The room was in terrible shape. The beds were hard, uneven, and very uncomfortable. The listing said toiletries were provided, but staff said they’d run out. We got no shampoo, conditioner, or body wash, only packets of dish soap. There were no basic kitchen supplies until we asked, and even then we got very little. The listing also implied coffee was available. We were told we could request a coffee pot, but would have to buy our own coffee at the store because they were out. When we asked about an ice machine, they said we’d have to make ice ourselves with trays and our own bottled water, since there was no water in the room for that. We tried to find another hotel, but nothing else within our budget was available. The few remaining options were far too expensive. We also asked for extra pillows and got some that looked like sacks of potatoes. The employee didn’t put on the pillowcases, so we had to do it ourselves. It was a stressful and upsetting stay, and the last time we’ll stay at an Extended StayAmerica hotel.

It’s okay as a place to sleep, but the women at the front desk are extremely rude. One in particular calls herself a manager. It’s really uncomfortable trying to talk to them or ask for anything.
