Econo Lodge Morgantown

The room was plain and only relatively clean. I booked through Booking.com on February 15th, but my reservation was canceled two days before the trip. When I booked again, the price had more than doubled to over $500 for two nights. I’m not uppity, just frugal, and I’m quite upset about the price increase and the value. Honestly, this is a $100-$125 a night hotel.

Breakfast is very limited, and management tries to put away what little is offered early, at 845am. The rooms can be dirty, with cracked bathroom tiles, and there were loud guests at night. Management wasn’t friendly, though they were happy to take my money. The rate is super low, but I’ll spend a few extra $$$ to stay somewhere else.

Parking was a real plus: there was plenty of space, it was easy to access, and it made the stay more convenient. The location also made nearby destinations easy to reach. My room was comfortable and well appointed, with a supportive bed that let me rest well. The room and common areas stayed immaculately clean throughout my visit, and the staff were consistently courteous and professional. Pricing is among the best in the area, in my opinion, while still offering good quality and comfort. Econolodge Morgantown exceeded my expectations, and I was thoroughly satisfied with the service, facilities, and atmosphere. I’d confidently recommend it.

I arrived late and left as early as I could. I had no choice but to stay for the hours I was there, and this was the worst hotel I’ve ever been in. There was a pad of paper and a pen on the floor when I entered the room. In the morning I found the shower didn’t work. The bathroom corners had what looked like old piss, and the rugs were grimy. I barely slept because I felt like bugs were crawling on me, and I’m sure the sheets hadn’t been washed since the previous guest. I asked for a refund at checkout and was denied. Stay away.
