Simone took such good care of us at the bar. Every detail was noticed, and the whole experience was five stars. We'll be back.

Bring anything extra you want to do, because the only activities there are sleep, gym, and spa. The only food available to us was the private chef's curated tastings at $400 a night. The food was fantastic, but we didn't want to spend $1,000 on two dinners and would have preferred to choose our meals. We felt obligated to agree because the chef was only there to serve my wife and me. The property has a clear appeal: secluded cabins, privacy, and a lush, very expensive feel. Still, we felt uncomfortable, out of our element, and a little unwelcome. This was a huge splurge for us, and we wouldn't do it again if given the chance. We booked a mini-moon during a corporate retreat and were the only leisure guests on site, which made the stay feel very isolated. Some might like that, but it felt odd to us. While exploring the grounds, we had to seek out employees or we'd never see another person. The room was really cool, but musty, with cobwebs in most corners, even in the shower. The AC barely worked, so we were sweating at night. Staff happily brought us a fan. It was an interesting stay, but in my opinion it wasn't worth the money, though it might suit what someone else wants.

The spa staff were incredibly kind and attentive, and gave us top-notch amenities and services. My mom and I live nearby and came for the spa and lunch. The lunch staff were amazing too, and so was the food. Thanks to everyone who made my mom's day special. It was wonderful to have a little slice of paradise in our own backyard.

The culinary approach is what puts Winvian stratospheres above other resorts in CT. Chef Chris Eddy expects his team to care deeply about seed and soil quality, growing food well, and preparing the freshest ingredients. You might ask his culinary team to sign your special menu as a keepsake.

Our daughter got married at Winvian Farms in April 2025, and the weekend was spectacular. Guests said it was the best wedding weekend they'd ever attended. The cottages are amazing, the grounds beautiful, and the Spa is a dream. The Morris/Litchfield area is wonderful too. We can't praise everyone at Winvian enough. Ann, Erin, Stefano, Lauren, Rachel, and of course Chef deserve special thanks. Everyone was organized, kind, efficient, and fun to work with. The rehearsal dinner, welcome event, ceremony, reception, and Sunday brunch were all outstanding. The food left everyone amazed. Chef is a genius, and we have no idea how he makes such delicious food for so many people. Thank you all!
