The property has had a lot of upgrades and safety improvements, and it’s a beautiful spot for families to enjoy the incredible Lake. We’ll keep coming back every year with our boat. We rented two cottages this year and would have booked cottages 1 and 2 again right away, even with the lousy mattress in Cottage 1. We’d stayed in Cottage 1 three years running, but were assigned Cottage 4 this time. Cottage 4 is fine, though we would have expected someone to ask whether we wanted to reserve for next year. We would have booked immediately if there had been any human interaction at all. Don’t expect hospitality from the new owners. They clearly don’t live here, and you’re completely on your own, which has its good and bad sides.

We rented the entire property for a week and were very disappointed. A large tree fell on our cabin, damaging our belongings and hitting my Jeep, and David is unwilling to help with compensation. There are also serious safety problems, including steep stairs with no railing where several family members fell. The owner’s two dogs roam freely. One came into our cabin twice, and the other bumped into our three-year-old and ate her sandwich. We won’t be back.

We lost a significant amount of property, and our vacation was completely ruined. David was very unhelpful with the claim and hid behind his insurance company, doing absolutely nothing for us. He also didn’t tell the truth about being available or contacting us. That’s not what you expect from someone running a hospitality business. Very, very disappointing.

My family has loved vacationing here for as long as I can remember. It’s a small town with a beautiful lake and lots of local attractions.
