Shamrock Motel

I spent around two and a half months here this year, but won't be back. The toilet in my room was falling over, the TV didn't work at all, and the microwave wouldn't spin. When I was at work, housekeeping would go through my things. Nothing ever went missing, but my stuff was always moved.

We wanted a decent evening on the spur of the moment, but our room was absolutely disgusting. There was poop smeared all over the bathroom and urine clearly visible on the walls. The toilet was filthy, and the room had no heat. They did nothing about it. I'm a housekeeper, so I know what standards should be. The staff were also extremely rude and hateful. I won't waste another $70 here.

My son stayed here for over a month, and his room wasn't cleaned once. When he first moved in, I had to clear huge cobwebs from the corners. The sheets were never changed, and I got my vacuum out of storage so he could clean the floor himself. The TV satellite service is awful. This place needs a new housekeeper.

I proposed to my wife there 10 years ago, and we got married in Mount Cornell, Illinois. Before that, I worked at the Duke power plant for about six months, before April 7th, 2015.
