My wife's friends were impressed by how peaceful and beautiful the location was, and their favorite part may have been watching sunrise and sunset from the deck. I booked it for her 40th birthday girls' trip, and it turned out amazing, with a lovely lake and hiking trails nearby. Jennifer (the head chef) helped arrange a special private dinner for all six, even though it wasn't on the menu. It was delicious and delightful. I'm jealous of the trip and can't wait to go there with my wife.

The lake is spectacular, and if you get a chance, rent a boat. We had a wonderful cabin, great food at the restaurant, and lovely grounds. The staff were exceptionally friendly. It's family-owned, and the owners live on site. We were lucky enough to meet them and chat over morning coffee. They were wonderful people and made us feel very welcome.

The cabins are roomy and have everything you could need, and the place is quiet and dog friendly. We had a really nice weekend away. The restaurant was pretty good, though not the best, and handy if you hadn't brought enough food or didn't feel like cooking.

I would've rated this four or five stars, but the place isn't EV friendly. I asked about EV charging, but the hosts didn't say it was quite a ways from the living areas, explain what kind of charger it was, or mention the $0.99 per kW cost. If we'd known it would be that expensive, we would've brought an ICE vehicle. With no fast charging or even Level 2 charging available in the area, staying here really isn't worth it.

I had a lake view through my back window and door, plus a small private patio. The rates were reasonable, the lake was big and beautiful with great fishing and boating, and there was wildlife around. Lots of amenities, and the on-site restaurant had good food. I loved everything and plan to come back.
