The rooftop terrace views are to die for, and the garden is gorgeous. Our room was just right, and breakfast was a killer, something different, unique, and delicious every morning. The owners are so kind and treated us like family they’d known forever. There were sweet puppies to greet us when we got back, and the whole place felt like home. We’ve gone to Marathon most years for our anniversary and had visited Eve’s Garden before, but finally stayed this year. I think we found our place. We can hardly wait to come back next year. I’d recommend this true B&B to anyone staying in Marathon. Love these ladies and this spot!

The conversations with the other guests, Kate, and Alaine came easily, and the relaxed atmosphere made us feel right at home. We’re so glad we found Eve’s, and if we’re back in Marathon we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. The ginger cookies were delicious, too. We booked that same day after coming across the B&B and seeing good reviews. It became one of the highlights of our cross-country road trip, a welcome change from a typical commercial hotel. Flowers were blooming all over the courtyard, and the room had colorful decor, interesting furnishings, and lovely artwork. We stayed two days, and both breakfasts were amazing, with French toast, vegetable omelets, unusual jellies, and juices.

Marathon wasn’t in our plans at first, but after this visit it definitely will be next time. Eve’s Garden is the sort of place that makes you want to slow down and return. We’d moved our trip up a day to avoid bad weather in Central Texas, and Elaine made the last-minute booking easy and stress-free. The rooms looked full online, but a call to the owner and operator got us a room. She was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The B&B is totally unique. The shared space, with beer on tap and coffee always available, has a relaxed, communal feel. Our cozy, comfortable room was thoughtfully done and just what we needed after a long drive. Elaine and her furry colleagues, three sweet dogs and a kitty, made the stay special. She also had great local knowledge and gave us insider tips that improved the rest of our trip.

Eve’s Garden Bed & Breakfast is a family-owned delight, eco-friendly in its construction and artfully decorated. It’s a comfort and joy to stay there, whether I’m with a group or a couple of buddies. I’ve been many times, and it’s still my favorite place to stay in all of Texas. Alaine’s breakfasts are exquisite. Keep an eye out for her cookbook coming soon! Thanks, Kate, Alaine, and Nobel for making this such a heartfelt little treasure. I’ll keep coming back.
