Candlewood Suites Mount Pleasant by IHG

I’m a Diamond-level Hilton loyalist, but the Hampton here was $200 a night, too much for a work trip. Candlewood was $104 for a single queen suite and ended up being a pleasant surprise. Check-in was simple, the front desk lady was so sweet, and I even got a free snack. The room was spotless and actually smelled clean. There’s a dedicated workspace and a big comfy chair with a C-table, which was perfect for eating and watching TV after a long day. The bed was soft and comfortable. Chili’s is in the same parking lot, with plenty of other food options nearby. For the price, cleanliness, and comfort, it’s a win. I’ll happily stay again.

We booked at the last minute because of a family emergency, and Kim and Anita were understanding and very accommodating. They were friendly and made us feel welcome. The rooms were spotless, having a kitchenette was handy, and the stores were close by.

We checked in tired, then ended up relaxing in the recliner and bed while watching TV. The room was so quiet that we slept late, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We loved the King Suite amenities and wished we could stay another night to enjoy them. We’ll definitely come back if we pass through Mt. Pleasant again.

I was in Mt Pleasant for business, and after staying in lots of hotels for work, I was impressed as soon as I walked in. The receptionist greeted me, and the place had a stylish, welcoming feel. The beds were clean and comfortable, and the complimentary offerings were generous. The kitchen area had modern glasses, plates, forks, and spoons, and I could go on about how much the hotel provides. It was peaceful, with no noise from upstairs rooms, and the pool was very clean. There’s a nice cookout area by the pool. While I worked in the lobby, I noticed staff cleaning the already clean spaces every hour. They were quick to attend to guests, and I loved that nobody came knocking early in the morning for room service. Incredible stay, highly recommend!
