La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Mt. Pleasant

The location was great, close to restaurants, and the room was a fantastic size for the price. We enjoyed the hot tub, pool, and breakfast, which was fine. It was a decent stay overall, though the room didn’t feel as clean as I’d like, and the sleeper sofa could have been more comfortable. They were much more willing to hand out pool towels than bath towels, so we had to share bath towels instead of getting enough for everyone in our room. I also wish the TVs had more options, or any way to sign in to our favorite streaming apps.

Tofu was very happy to have a big grass field behind the building where she could play and stretch her legs. We’re traveling with our pets, and Rebecca was courteous when we arrived and put us in a room near the door so taking them in and out would be easy. The price is affordable, the room is well kept, and shout out to the maids for doing a good job. It's just off the highway, too.

The front desk clerk was wonderful, accommodating when we arrived and helpful with our refund when we had to leave. Still, we didn’t feel safe there, and the only operating elevator seemed sketchy, making very loud noises each time it stopped. The place looks run down and in need of repairs and a lot of TLC. Our room was dirty, the bed was worn out, and there was a large dent in the door frame. Scented gels in the AC made the room smell fresh, but the smell was far too strong for my wife’s asthma. The plugs by the bed were so worn that our phones couldn’t charge. Overall, it was a sketchy situation.

The bed was really comfortable and we slept well. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast. The rooms could have been cleaner, so next time we may ask for a different one. We enjoyed our stay and will come again. Thank you!
