Super 8 By Wyndham Mt. Pleasant Tx

We got in very late, so I ended up just sleeping there. The first room had a smell and roaches crawling on the walls. They moved us to another one, which smelled better, but the towels were so stained I didn't want to use them, so I skipped showering. I keep thinking that $80 would've been better spent somewhere else.

This is a typical older, rundown hotel. Breakfast amounted to apples and coffee, and the bed was okay. The nightstand had no small drawer, and the phone didn't work, even to call the front desk. Fred, the maintenance man, had to come get the TV working. He was polite and quick.

Housekeeping never came, and the advertised free breakfast wasn't there any of the days we stayed. The room was filthy: food and grease on the walls, poop smeared on the bathroom doorway, a dirty comforter, and bugs. The dresser drawers were broken, there were no nightstand drawers, the iron had no ironing board, the alarm clock was broken, and there was no phone. The owner charged my bank card twice. After I won the dispute, the owner charged it again, and my bank flagged the account for fraud and closed it entirely. I wish zero stars were an option.

The bathroom floor was still wet, and there were empty soap and conditioner cartridges lying around, so it didn't look like the room had been cleaned properly. The bed was dirty and smelled bad, with visible scratches on the blankets and stains on the mattress. The room itself smelled like body odor and cigarette smoke, even though it was supposed to be smoke-free. The windows had to stay shut because there was a clear view of other cars and no light shades. Of the four lamps, only one worked, and very few TV channels were active. It was disgusting. I expected better from Wyndham, and wouldn't recommend this place.
