Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Mountain Home by IHG

I stayed in Room 104 from 4/19/26 through 4/24/26. Breakfast had plenty of options, the room was clean, and the bath linens were better than threadbare. There were outdoor bench seats under a canopy, which was nice. The 45” TV had many HBO, Max, and Cinemax channels. The bathroom had a bathtub rather than a walk-in shower, with a curved shower rod, but no towel racks or any kind of hanger on the walls. There was no clock, alarm or otherwise, and no trash can at either end of the hall. On arrival at 2:40p, the front desk attendant didn't acknowledge my gold elite status and wouldn't accept my request for Room 128 or 125, even though those rooms were empty. The internet was down on 4/23/26 from 8:23a until about 6p, and no refund was offered.

I come to the area for business repeatedly, but I choose to stay here because of the staff. Darla, one of the front desk associates, is crazy friendly and hospitable. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the location is great.

You can read. Everything they say is there, is. It's all well maintained, and whether you're hopeful or surprised when more is included in the amount your card is billed, I usually find regret. I could have left the house cleaners a bigger tip. Sometimes going back to find them and hand over more cash can lead to exciting adventures, but just leaving it, better still unseen, can show someone that faith is better than hope. “Did you find God or something?” “No. But I did stay at the holiday Inn express.”

I stayed two days for business and would come back. The north-facing room had lots of light and privacy, with a peaceful hayfield view. Since I needed to get quite a bit done in the room, I appreciated having a desk and the track system for the shade, which blocked extra light because I keep a different sleep schedule. A desk lamp and easier access to outlets at the desk would help. Some bathroom joints could use recaulking, and the fridge should be checked for items left by the previous guest. The front desk women weren't very friendly or outgoing, though they weren't rude. I arrived for breakfast at 8:30am and some options weren't stocked, but I managed to make do. I drive motorcoaches and shuttles, but don't drive when I'm off-duty. This spot is an easy walk from several restaurants, Casey's gas station, and, most importantly, a grocery store! 👍
