Red Carpet Inn & Suites - Muncie

The blankets had cigarette burns, used bars of soap were left in the shower, and the floors were so dirty they looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed. This place was a complete trash hole. I’m surprised the state hasn’t come in to shut it down. I gave it one star only because that’s the lowest rating. Don’t stay here!

We drove 35 miles for a room we’d reserved with a jacuzzi for two nights, and it was filthy. There was food in the jacuzzi, the bed wasn’t made, there were no towels, and the bathroom was very dirty. The desk clerk agreed with me and tried to clean, but after an hour and a half the room still wasn’t cleaned. Drunk people were all around the property. The owner wouldn’t admit anything was wrong and was very rude. She charged my card, then said she’d refunded it, but the money still hasn’t appeared. A very bad experience. No stars.

We’d been coming here for years because the original owners were great, but that’s changed. They gave us a paper bowl for ice and didn’t even provide a trash can. The hotel was crap. We’ll gladly spend the extra dollar and never go back. I wouldn’t recommend it even for rats.

My family was happy with our stay, and it was convenient for reaching so many places. The new management has made a big difference to the property. We had a good experience at the Muncie red carpet inn, and I’ll stay again.
