The Beach Inn Motel

The location was fine, but for $300 a night, this stay fell far short. We had no hot water in our room the entire time. We tried the front desk's suggestions, letting the water run and waiting, but it never even got warm. Nobody offered us another room or a partial refund, and there wasn't a real fix. There was also garbage outside our door when we arrived, and it stayed there for the whole visit. I couldn't find trash cans nearby for guests, and I wasn't comfortable handling someone else's garbage, so it felt unsanitary. It's hard to accept missing such a basic amenity at this price. The lack of hot water and the uncollected trash made the experience unacceptable. I hope management takes this feedback seriously.

George at the front desk made us feel welcome and was really helpful. He shared lots of ideas for things to do and restaurants to try, and even gave us a couple of coupons. Our room had a beautiful lake view, and the location was great. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

The breakfast was a fun part of the stay, with coffee and a bagel dipped in strawberry yogurt, and the shower was easy to use. It also had a social feel, with plenty of nice groups around to chat with. The view was the most memorable one I've seen for an overnight stay near Pictured Rocks. I'd consider coming back.

The sunset right behind the place was a highlight. The rooms are simple and clean, with budget-friendly prices and views that feel like a luxury.
