Knights Inn Murfreesboro

The room was disgusting, and the staff member at the night desk was rude from the moment I arrived. He rolled his eyes, huffed, and slammed things down. The bathroom door had been ripped off its frame and left leaning against the wall. The overhead light, TV, and phone didn't work, the curtains wouldn't stay shut, and the bath was filthy. Towels and washcloths were stained and smelled bad, while the bedding smelled even worse. The heat and air unit sounded like a bucket of nails being shaken. I tried calling the desk about all this, but he didn't answer. By the next day my clothes smelled horrible too. It's pitiful to leave somewhere smelling as bad as the room. I can usually find something to like about a place I stay, but Knight's Inn has changed that.

I couldn't stay the night, and they wouldn't refund me. The sheets had semen and other mystery stains, roaches were everywhere, bugs crawled out of the drains, and there was black mold all over. The carpet was peeling up in places, the room reeked of cigarettes and rat piss, and the service was horrendous. I'd take my chances in the parking lot over roaches getting into my suitcase and everything I own smelling like cigarettes. I can't believe this place isn't a city violation. Go anywhere else, I beg you. One star is generous; I'd give zero if I could. I'm calling the health department on Monday.

We got a no-smoking room, but the cigarette and rat-piss smell gave me a headache. Turning on the heat nearly made me fall backwards from the odor. The room didn't even look clean: there was a badly patched hole in the wall, someone else's clothes behind the bed, and a cockroach in the shower. The toilet wasn't properly secured, either. And the room service prices are something else. I won't book with any Knight Inns again.

It's cheaper than literally anywhere else, but they won't give extra towels or pillows, and there can often be pest problems. They still list breakfast on websites, even though they say they haven't offered any kind of breakfast since COVID. That's misleading.
