Super 8 by Wyndham Murfreesboro

I only needed somewhere to rest for a few hours and shower, and the stay turned out okay for that. The room was clean, but there was a hole like a cigarette burn on the bed cover, though I didn't smell cigarette smoke. The room had a musty odor and the place felt a little sketchy. I was traveling alone and booked after seeing decent Google reviews. After taking my things up to the second floor, I went to get my own blanket when I noticed the mark on the cover. I had an earbud in as I went out and realized I'd left my phone in the room, so I headed back to get it. On the way, I passed two very odd-looking girls lurking in a side hallway on the second floor. Once back in my room, I decided to stay put since I was alone and they looked up to no good. I've attached real photos of what you can expect. If all you need is a short rest and a shower, this place will do, but if you're a woman traveling alone, I'd suggest avoiding a room on the backside, where mine was.

There were a lot of people outside, which I guess isn't a crime, but it felt a little scary since it was just me and my child. The staff were amazing, and I was thankful they moved me to a better room after the first one smelled like smoke. The sheets were clean and the bathroom was clean, too, though some areas needed sweeping. Housekeepers should take a little more pride in their work. I'd stay again and plan to be back in town in about a month.

I kept coming back while my daughter was at MTSU. The service was top notch, and the place was always clean. The first year, we tried several places around town, and none of them compared. The staff were very friendly.

I've stayed twice, once in November 2025 and again a few days ago, the night of 1/20/26. I know Super 8 has a reputation, but if you haven't stayed at one recently, give it a chance, especially this one. We paid just 75 bucks for a suite booked the same day, which is crazy good. Pets are allowed for $15 each. The rooms were very clean and didn't smell like previous dogs, meth, or anything else, and I didn't notice any bugs, mice, or other things associated with Super 8s. There's plenty of parking for semi trucks, RVs, or, in my case, a 35-foot moving truck. A dozen or so restaurants and a Target are within walking distance. Breakfast is a bit lacking, just the usual bagels, cereal, and waffles, nothing special, but enough that you won't leave wanting more. My only advice is to leave EARRRLLYY if you're driving anything bigger than an SUV, because traffic gets rowdy fast. I'll absolutely find a reason to stay here again if I'm in the area.
