The people here have a really weird vibe, too. The place was dirty, the little shower was gross, and we spent half the night cleaning just to feel comfortable enough to stay. There was no pool, no deadbolts on the doors, and a creepy bathroom door that went nowhere. It barely beats sleeping under a bridge. If you're going to the Crater of Diamonds, stay in Nashville instead of Murfreesboro!

I called to book a room for one day and, within 30 seconds, was told not to come and that they didn't want to rent to us. The woman was vile and rude, wouldn't let me ask questions or explain anything, and I'm still scratching my head about why we were expressly not wanted. It was outrageous and clearly not veteran friendly. That sounds like very discriminatory treatment. I'm glad I hadn't paid yet. There are plenty of other places in the area, and I'd recommend any of them. You've been warned.

We found a beautiful place about two blocks away, the Yellow Diamond Inn, with great hospitality, perfectly clean rooms, a real playground, an open pool, and the new arcade across the road. Two blocks makes a huge difference. This place was a disappointment: the pictures online must be 20 years old, and the so-called indoor waterpark looked abandoned for decades. The owner was aggressive and rude, laughed in our faces, and said she cleans the rooms herself. The motel was very dirty and smelly. Avoid Shamrock Motel at all costs.

I called about a room for me, my wife, and our three young kids, who are 11, 9, and 6. We often all sleep in our king at home, and I was happy to pay an extra fee, but they wouldn't let all five of us stay in a room with a king and a queen. She wanted us to book another room with a single queen. When I said we didn't need a second room, she rudely said I could call if I wanted to book the two rooms and hung up. We weren't arguing on the phone for half an hour; I'd only asked once. In response to the owner's edit, you didn't offer a room with three beds. You offered two rooms. When I said we didn't need two and would pay extra, you cut me off, said that's your policy and I could call back to book two rooms, then hung up. The call was under five minutes. Zero customer service.
