Rodeway Inn Murfreesboro Downtown

We needed somewhere to rest after a long drive before getting up early, and the room was clean and in good shape. Check-in and checkout were easy once we rang the bell to be let in, and the staff were friendly. Just watch for the entrance, it's easy to miss. The lot is small, though apparently you can park in the business lot next door. In the morning, there was a silverfish in the bathtub.

Everything in the room worked, and it was clean. The people were nice, and there's a gas station within walking distance with great food.

Pride in ownership really shows here. I was wary because Rodeway Inns are usually shady, but this one was the exception. The room was very clean and updated, with modern furniture, fresh paint, and big wall lamps with working charger outlets on both sides of the bed. The huge TV worked great. The bathroom was large and had updated tile, sinks, and counters, plus a hair dryer and wall-mounted shampoo and lotion. The beds were clean and comfortable, with sheets, a blanket, and a cover. It was 17 degrees outside when I checked in, and the heat warmed the room up nicely. The guy at the front desk was nice and check-in was easy. One thing to know, the parking lot isn't made for trucks with trailers.

I picked this one for the cheap rate and convenient location on 41 near the highway. It did the job for one night. The room was clean, and the staff were personable. It’s a two-star hotel. The water took a long time to warm up and never got very hot. The king bed was okay to sleep in, but you could feel the springs were worn out.
