The only small issue was that the trash hadn’t been emptied. We’ll definitely stay again. The room had a quaint feel, with tasteful artwork and a nice touch in the quilted chair pads. It was clean and comfortable, the mattress was very firm, which I liked, and the pillows were comfortable. Staff were friendly and polite, and the continental breakfast was just as advertised.

When I visit my daughter at MSU, I like to stay here. It’s very affordable, and the family who owns the place are kind and attentive at check-in. The rooms and bathrooms are clean. We enjoy our visits. Breakfast is simple and we usually skip it, heading to Rudy’s on the square instead. The food there is great and very affordable. Bedding is simple, so bring a blanket if you like to wrap up. If noise bothers you, ask for a room farther from the road. This is a good fit if you want cleanliness and a low price, but there aren’t many amenities.

We used to be satisfied on earlier visits, but this four-night stay was poor and we won’t return. There was no room service, the room smelled musty, and the towels were so threadbare they felt more like rags. Breakfast was a joke: each morning there were only two or three tiny muffins, maybe a bagel, dry cereal, juice, and coffee.

A friend recommended this place, and for the price I’d stay again. It’s rare to find an older hotel in such good shape. The room was clean and the building seemed well looked after or refurbished well. Breakfast was a bit of a bust, just some cereal and bread items. The coffee was out when I went, and I didn’t want to wait for more. No complaints otherwise.
